Michelle Catania Tribute

Scholarship Fund

Michelle Catania was a wife, vibrant mother of two and a successful businesswoman with a longtime love of Community Theater and service. Despite being a petite 5’3” (and a half!) she was truly larger than life with an even bigger heart.  After almost a decade of fighting, Michelle lost her battle with breast cancer in 2010 at the age of 42, leaving behind many loving family members and friends who want nothing more than to preserve her memory in her true spirit. The Michelle Catania Children’s Theater Program, in partnership with the Center Players, her local community theater in Freehold, NJ, provides children’s theater programming in addition to awarding one $500 scholarship each year in both of the states she called home, Florida and New Jersey.
