About
Michelle Catania is a sister, aunt mother, wife, daughter and friend. She has excelled in management and business. Truly fearless, she has accomplished much and never let fear of failure or the unknown prevent her from achieving her goals. In just 42 years, she has succeeded in every area of her life as a self-made woman. What’s truly amazing is that many of her achievements have come over the past several years while she was living with cancer, which has recently progressed. Michelle passed away on the morning of July 27th, surrounded by her loving family.
It’s no secret to family and friends that Michelle has a lifelong passion for the theater. She has performed, often as the lead, in musicals and plays in her teens and twenties in Florida, and more recently in community theater in central New Jersey. On any typical day, she could be heard singing show tunes or rehearsing lines while cooking a meal for her family or driving around to appointments.
Michelle’s family and Center Players, with Michelle’s insight and input, have created the Michelle Catania Children’s Theater Program, a legacy befitting her name. This program is administered by Center Players, a 501 (c)(3) non-profit community theater whose Freehold, NJ stage was a second home to Michelle.

Hello. I am currently an eighth grade teacher in Freehold with years of experience in children’s theater. I would be so happy to make children’s theater a more prevelant part of my life than it currently is. Please keep me in mind if you need help in any area or performers. I’m happy to help.
